Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Tarvio uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on tarvio.io (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which store data in your browser rather than as files.
2. Cookies We Use
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service, and analytics cookies from PostHog to understand how the Service is used and improve it. Analytics cookies are non-essential and will only be set after you give your consent via our cookie banner.
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Essential | Supabase authentication session — keeps you logged in | Session / up to 1 year |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Essential | PKCE code verifier for secure OAuth login flow | Session |
| ph_*_posthog | Analytics | PostHog visitor identity and session data — used to understand how the Service is used (set only after consent) | 1 year |
| ph_*_opt_in_out_* | Functional | Stores your analytics cookie preference (opt-in or opt-out) | 1 year |
| ps_visited_* | Essential | Records that this browser has opened a testimonial collection page — prevents duplicate page-view events | 30 days |
| ps_submitted_* | Essential | Prevents duplicate testimonial submissions from the same browser within 30 days when no email address was provided. Contains no personal data. | 30 days |
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive. Analytics cookies (ph_*_posthog) are non-essential and will only be set after you accept via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer. We will update this page before adding any further non-essential cookies.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Our payment provider Stripe may set its own cookies when you visit the billing page to process payments securely. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
4. Embedded Widgets
If you use the Tarvio embed widget on your own website, the widget script does not set any cookies in your visitors' browsers. It fetches testimonial data via a read-only API call and renders it client-side. No tracking or session data is stored on your visitors' devices by our widget.
5. How to Control Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the authentication cookies listed above will prevent you from staying logged in to the Service.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies or when legal requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes — such as the addition of non-essential cookies — will be communicated via a notice on the Service before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
